BPP Business School is committed to providing the highest
standard of professional education to all our students. Our tutors
are a dynamic mix of academics and practitioners from diverse
professional backgrounds.
Whether you intend to work in accountancy, tax, banking, financial
services, insolvency, human resources or marketing and whether you
are looking for a full time programme or are already in employment
and looking for a part time programme we will provide you with a
practically focused and well taught programme.
Depending on the programme and mode of study you choose, our
programmes are delivered using a mix of:
Small group sessions
At BPP we believe that the most effective way of learning is by
doing. Our programmes focus on developing the ability to apply the
knowledge you have obtained in your studies as well as acquiring
this knowledge in the first place. This ability to apply knowledge
and meet the needs of employers and clients cannot be obtained
predominately by sitting in lectures or reading books (although of
course both of these are essential elements of most programmes).
This ability and insight can only be obtained by analysing
realistic problems and issues in small group sessions where you can
discuss solutions, theories, processes and arguments with an
experienced tutor and your peers on a regular basis.
For this reason, although regular lectures or whole group
sessions are held in most programmes to provide a structure and
overview to the material taught, our programmes focus on a high
frequency of small group sessions (tutorials, seminars or
workshops). A small group session is held each week for
modules on most programmes at BPP.
Lectures
Live lectures are held on most programmes and are recorded for
download on your MP3.
e-learning
Through Click! Online you will have access to a wide range of
electronic databases and sources of both national and international
materials. Click! can be accessed from computers within the
Business School library and remotely. We also make extensive use of
our Virtual Learning Environment both as a source of programme
materials and for Case Simulations.
BPP programme materials
To ensure that all our students have the most appropriate
materials for their programme (and save you the cost and
inconvenience of buying these on the open market) an extensive
range of books and materials is provided for most of our
programmes.
