From September 2010, BPP will offer what rank as among
the first genuine online degrees, providing a new form
of flexibility. Delivering the same high-quality education
experience as our traditional face-to-face classes, our
ground-breaking programmes feature Real-Time
and Your-Time study options, a major
innovation in distance learning.
The Real-Time Option (fixed time, flexible
place)
- Classes are held at a set time each week when
students and their tutor go online together
- Available times include weekdays, evenings or
weekend sessions and times can be changed without fuss
- Each seminar lasts around 2 hours and includes
tutor-led class activities
- Students communicate by both talk and text and
documents are viewed and shared by groups
The Your-Time Option (flexible time, flexible place):
- Students can dip into a seminar that is left
open for several days; ensuring maximum timetable flexibility
- Session times include evening and weekend
options
- The same activities are covered in the same
depth, but tutor and students are not necessarily online at the
same time
- Multiple visits to each ongoing seminar ensure
that relevant activities are fully completed
Equivalent Weight
Whether you opt for Face-to-face, Real-Time or
Your-Time learning, each of our key modules is
designed to achieve identical learning outcomes. In addition, all 3
deliver:
- The same online learning resources
- The same opportunities for formal feedback from
tutors
- The same level of online tutor support
- The same assessments
- The same in-built flexibility for when student
circumstances change
- The same level of pastoral care to support
student decision-making across all programmes
What If I Need To Switch?
Inbuilt flexibility means that switching
between Real-Time and Your-Time
need never be a problem. So if you’re away for a weekend and need
to skip your regular Saturday session, you can simply join the
discussion board class for that week instead.
