BPP Business School no longer deliver the CIPD
Professional Development Scheme (PDS). Since October 2009 we have
offered postgraduate programmes accredited by the Chartered
Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) meeting the knowledge
requirement for Chartered Member status, thus offering both
professional and academic recognition.
Being academically recognised the programme is internationally
transferable, with the option to top-up from a postgraduate diploma
to an MSc in Human Resource Management. Another advantage is that
our learning materials are available on-line through our
Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). This means you can access your
materials anytime, anywhere, with a vast range of additional
learning resources available.
Our postgraduate programmes enforce a strong
emphasis on workplace application to ensure you acquire the
essential skills that will enable you to pursue a successful career
in Human Resource Management or Development. Our degree-awarding
power, means we can run our own examinations (CIPD approved),
throughout the year. However our assessment methods put less
emphasis on examinations and concentrate on reflecting key business
skills.
If you are just starting your studies towards CIPD professional
membership then you can enrol directly on to our Postgraduate Diploma. This can
be completed within two years of study with a number of exit points
which lead to a postgraduate certificate, enabling you to progress
your career quicker.
If you are currently studying the PDS with another provider
please contact Admissions
for details on how you can transfer to our postgraduate
programmes.
The CIPD are phasing in their own new diploma's to replace the
PDS. Students have until 31st December 2013 to complete their PDS
studies.
