BPP's BSc (Hons) Professional Accounting is designed to bring
together a range of accounting and business disciplines, providing
a balance of development of technical competence, along with
intellectual and
practical skills. It also creates closer links between higher
education programmes and employers, thus creating business-centred
accounting professionals.
The BSc (Hons) Professional Accounting programme builds from
‘core’ business and accounting activities, through to areas of
greater technical competence (e.g. Financial Reporting and
Analysis, Tax Reporting and Planning, Financial Decision Making)
and finally to integration and professional application (e.g.
Managing People and Projects and The Accountant in Business and
Society).
It is heavily focussed on the practical application of
accounting, contained within an academically robust programme of
study. Due to links with professional accounting bodies, the
programme provides an accelerated study into the accounting
profession.
The programme , with a balance of development of technical
competence and intellectual and practical skills that will support
students both as learners and as future professional
accountants.
