Marketing professionals work in a variety of organisations in the private and public sector. It is possible to work at many different levels within the organisation from marketing assistants all the way up to being the marketing director of a global organisation. Marketing is growing as a business discipline and now has many specialist areas of study and work that marketing professionals can perform. These include areas such as marketing research, e-marketing, environmental marketing, and public relations. Marketers are also able to work in specialist roles such as brand managers, marketing communications executives or new product development managers. Marketers perform a valuable role in many organisations and work as part of the business team to develop the products and services for its current and future customers. It is a developing and exiting area of study that can provide many employment opportunities in any type of organisation.
